Birmingham is waking to clear skies and a chilly morning Monday, but sunshine will quickly take over. Temperatures will climb from the mid-40s early to a high near 71 degrees, with no rain expected and a light east wind.
Sunny Afternoons, Jacket-Friendly Nights
Monday night will stay clear as temperatures fall to around 46 degrees. Tuesday brings a high near 76 degrees, followed by highs near 77 from Wednesday through Friday, according to National Weather Service.
Saturday should be mostly sunny, while Sunday brings high thin cloudiness.
Dry Air Brings Fire Caution
Rain chances remain at zero Monday and Tuesday, and the dry air will become more noticeable by midweek. The National Weather Service says afternoon humidity could fall to around 25% to 30%, with drying fuels keeping fire-weather concerns at a medium level across the region.
Residents should use extra care with outdoor flames, discarded cigarettes and anything that could spark a grass or brush fire. No watches, warnings or advisories are currently in effect for Birmingham, as reported by National Weather Service.
