Birmingham is waking to clear, cool air Sunday before sunshine pushes temperatures toward 74 degrees. The dry stretch will continue all week, with warmer afternoons building toward an unusually mild Halloween weekend.
Sunny Sunday Brings A 74-Degree High
Sunday morning temperatures will start in the upper 40s to low 50s before climbing steadily through the afternoon. East winds will run around 5 to 10 mph, and the National Weather Service is forecasting no rain, watches, warnings or advisories for the Birmingham area.
Dry Air Keeps Fire Caution In View
Dry fuels, limited moisture and somewhat stronger weekend winds are keeping fire-weather concerns on the radar. Afternoon humidity is expected to fall into the 25% to 35% range, so residents should use care with grills, outdoor burning, discarded cigarettes and anything else that could spark a grass or brush fire.
Warmth Builds Through Halloween Weekend
Monday and Tuesday will bring highs near 74 and 77 degrees, followed by mostly sunny or partly sunny conditions through Thursday. Highs should reach about 78 degrees Thursday, 79 Friday and 80 Saturday, while overnight lows generally remain in the upper 40s to upper 50s.
Rain chances stay near zero through Thursday and rise only slightly Friday and Saturday. In other words, Birmingham gets jacket weather early, sunshine by lunch and a warm Halloween weekend with no umbrella drama expected.
