Las Vegas is waking up to clear skies Tuesday, with a crisp start in the upper 50s before sunshine pushes afternoon temperatures to about 79 degrees. The day stays dry, but south to southeast winds will build through the afternoon, with gusts up to 18 mph. That makes for a pleasant daytime forecast with a little extra breeze by the time people are heading home.
After Tuesday, Wednesday looks mostly sunny with a high near 78. Thursday also looks mild at roughly 78 degrees, although skies turn mostly cloudy and the forecast begins to show a small rain chance. The National Weather Service expects dry conditions through at least Wednesday.
Afternoon Winds Pick Up
Winds are expected to stay light during the morning before turning more southerly and becoming gusty later Tuesday. The breezier stretch should ease after sunset, with lighter winds overnight. Outdoor plans should be comfortable, but anyone setting up patio gear, decorations or a picnic should account for the gusts.
Halloween Weekend Brings Shower Chances
The forecast shifts Friday, with the earliest precipitation chances in parts of southern Nevada arriving in the morning; Las Vegas has a slight chance of showers late Friday night. Friday's high slips to around 76. Saturday looks partly sunny with a slight chance of rain showers after 11 a.m., with shower chances continuing Saturday night. That could matter for Halloween plans, especially later in the evening, although the forecast does not currently call for a washout.
Sunday is the coolest and wettest-looking day of the stretch, with mostly cloudy skies, a 50% chance of rain showers and a high near 68. The outlook is a sharper update to Hoodline's Monday forecast, which already flagged a possible wet Halloween weekend; rain coverage and totals remain uncertain.
No weather alerts are currently listed for the Las Vegas area. For now, Tuesday through Thursday look like the easy part of the week, while weekend plans will benefit from a quick forecast check as the rain timing comes into focus.
