Bann runs Super Ninja World LLC, a locally owned small business she describes on the gym's website as a ninja gym for all ages based in Northeast Ohio.
A New Space
Super Ninja World is moving into a new building.
The expansion also carves out more room for the gym's youngest climbers. The facility includes separate areas set aside for toddlers and younger enthusiasts, anchored by an expanded 800-square-foot toddler section, according to the same account. That is a notable upgrade from a single shared training floor, and it reflects a broader shift toward dedicated, age-specific zones rather than one-size-fits-all programming.
Saving a Piece of the Building's Past
Renovation crews working on the new gym made a point of trying to save as much of the old wooden roller rink floor as possible, though rotted sections ultimately had to be torn out, the Beacon Journal reported. The building has a layered history: a page tracking defunct skating rinks, rink-history.weebly.com, states that State 8 Rollerdrome once operated at that same 4130 State Road address. Accounts of exactly when the rink opened conflict, with the site citing one record that says the building was built in 1959 and another, attributed to Manta, that says the rink itself opened in 1972. The same page notes the rink likely closed in 2003, though it flags that date as uncertain, and says the building was later occupied by a costume and magic-tricks supplier before its latest transformation.
Beyond the main training floor, the new location plans to install special ramps for running up as part of its obstacle setup, part of the broader buildout documented in photographs taken this week in Cuyahoga Falls. Among those pitching in on the renovation has been Chance Bann, who has worked on constructing equipment for the gym, while Courtney Emerson painted a wall inside the upcoming space.
