Birmingham is starting Sunday, October 18, with clear skies and temperatures near 48 degrees, but the chilly morning is only the opening act. Sunshine will push the city toward a high near 69, while a brisk early breeze eases later and rain stays out of the picture.
Sunny Sunday Starts A Dry Week
Sunday night will turn clear and cool, with temperatures falling to around 44 degrees before Monday brings another sunny day and a high near 70. According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, no watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the area.
The updated outlook sharpens the fall reset covered in Hoodline's earlier forecast, with a longer stretch of dry weather now taking shape. Tuesday reaches about 74 degrees, followed by highs near 77 from Wednesday through Friday.
Warm Afternoons, Cool Nights
Saturday looks like the warmest day in the outlook at about 78 degrees under sunny skies. Overnight lows will remain jacket-friendly, mostly in the mid-40s early in the week before edging toward the upper 40s.
Dry Air Brings Fire Caution
There is no rain in the forecast through next Saturday, and afternoon humidity is expected to fall near 30% by midweek. The weather service says drying fuels and low humidity will keep fire-weather concerns at a medium level, so residents should use extra care with outdoor burning and anything that could spark a grass or brush fire.
