A Tampa entertainer who has swallowed swords while doing push-ups is about to open Southwest Orlando's second season of highbrow arts programming with juggling, Halloween scares and an attempt to break a world record for pen clicking. Noah Royak takes the stage at the Pargh Event Center at Rosen JCC this Saturday night, October 24, for a one-hour show called “Magic, Mayhem & Mischief” that kicks off the 2026-2027 Arts at the J season.
The free performance starts at 7:30 p.m. at the venue, located at 11184 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Building B, in Orlando, according to the Orange Observer. Royak's act blends juggling, sword swallowing, magic, comedy and stunts, with what organizers describe as unpredictable toilet paper shenanigans and not-so-scary Halloween scares, the paper reports. The show has a capacity of 500 guests.
A Record Attempt Built Into the Show
Royak plans to attempt a new world record for most pen clicks in 60 seconds during the performance, per the Observer's reporting. The bar is high: the standing Guinness World Record for pen clicks in one minute is 320, set by Evan Fitzpatrick Madden in Temperance, Michigan, back in April 2009, according to Pens Only. Beating that mark in a single minute demands precise finger speed and rhythm, and whether Saturday's attempt meets official Guinness verification standards on-site remains to be seen.
Pen clicking won't be Royak's first brush with record-keeping bodies. He already holds a Guinness World Record for the most push-ups while swallowing a sword, a feat he completed with 25 push-ups on April 29, according to Guinness World Records. Royak has told organizers he's spent years practicing to perfect each skill, and he's made a point of advising audience members never to try his stunts themselves, per the Observer.
From High School Juggling to the JCC Stage
Royak's path to the stage started small: the Observer reports he began his entertainment career by learning to juggle three tennis balls in high school, then spent a year performing as a street entertainer before landing a contract at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. Since then he has performed for cruise lines, Universal Studios, America's Got Talent, Busch Gardens, the Big E, and colleges and universities around the country, according to the same report. He has also shared stages with Fozzy, Gayle, Frankie Avalon and Jet.
Beyond his solo act, Royak regularly tours with entertainer Bill Berry as the variety duo the Distinguished Daredevils, combining comedy, juggling and stunt feats at university campuses and auditoriums nationwide, according to The Patriot. Royak told the Observer he was honored to be selected as the season's opening act and excited to finally bring his entertainment to the JCC after past scheduling attempts hadn't aligned. He said his Saturday performance will incorporate Yiddish, and that he wants the audience to leave feeling lighthearted, saying laughter can help people through difficult times.
A Young Venue With Big Ambitions
The Pargh Event Center itself is barely a year old. Arts at the J and its home venue launched in November 2025 after a $1 million gift from local philanthropist Andy Pargh, according to the Rosen JCC. Planned enhancements include a retractable seating system and lighting upgrades. The center offers theater-style seating for up to 600 guests and sits between the Dr. Phillips and Lake Buena Vista North neighborhoods, hosting banquets, community expos and theater productions in addition to arts programming, per the same source.
Royak's family-friendly stunt show sits alongside other arts programming this season.
The venue has also kept busy outside its mainstage season. In September, the Pargh Event Center hosted Orlando's DJ Summit, featuring four competitive DJ battles and an after-party headlined by hip-hop pioneer Kid Capri, as Hoodline previously reported.
