Tampa gets a warm, breezy Friday with a high near 86 degrees, but the bigger weather story arrives after Halloween. Showers become more likely Saturday before Sunday brings likely showers and a few thunderstorms across the area. For outdoor plans, Friday and most of Saturday look like the easier bets.
Warm Friday Comes With Northeast Gusts
Friday will be partly sunny, with temperatures climbing into the mid-80s and northeast winds running 7 to 13 mph. Gusts could reach 21 mph, while the chance of rain stays low at around 10 percent. The National Weather Service has no land-based watches or warnings posted for the Tampa area.
Halloween Starts Dry, Then Showers Creep In
Saturday should begin partly sunny and warm, with a high near 85 degrees. The daytime chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Halloween night will have a low around 72.
Sunday Looks Like The Weekend Washout
Sunday is expected to be the wettest day of the forecast period, with showers likely, a few thunderstorms and an 80 percent chance of rain. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, temperatures should top out near 81 degrees, and east-northeast winds could gust to 23 mph. Sunday night stays unsettled, with another 80 percent rain chance and a low near 69.
Storm Chances Ease Early Next Week
Monday brings scattered showers and thunderstorms before a gradual return to sunnier skies, with a high near 82 and a 30 percent rain chance. Skies are expected to clear early next week. Nights remain mild, with lows generally in the upper 60s.
Waterfront Plans May Feel The Wind
Northeast winds will remain noticeable around Tampa Bay and nearby coastal waters through the weekend, making conditions choppy for boaters and waterfront activities. Even when rain holds off on land, anyone heading onto the water should check the latest marine forecast before leaving shore.
