Tampa Bay Sun FC turns its home pitch pink on Saturday when the club hosts a Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Out against Carolina Ascent FC, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. at Suncoast Credit Union Field. The match folds cancer-awareness programming into the regular-season atmosphere, giving fans a reason to show up in pink alongside the usual home-game energy.
The October 10 date and kickoff time were confirmed by OurSports Central, which reported the Pink Out falls on the club's home match against Carolina Ascent FC. The 6 p.m. start lines up with the kickoff time listed on Tampa Bay Sun FC's own schedule, which places matches at Suncoast Credit Union Field.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa is sponsoring the event, and the casino has pledged to donate $500 to the American Cancer Society for every goal Tampa Bay Sun scores during the match, according to the same OurSports Central report. The arrangement turns the scoreboard itself into a fundraising tool — every Sun goal effectively writes a check.
Pink Gear and Game-Day Extras
Fans attending Saturday's match can expect special T-shirts tied to the event, according to Tampa Bay 28. The night will also include breast cancer awareness activations and festivities designed for families.
Seminole Hard Rock's involvement in breast cancer fundraising in the Tampa area has a long run. The casino reported raising $50,400 in 2016 to help fund research for prevention and a cure for breast cancer, and the following year it served as the $50,000 Pink Premiere Sponsor of the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, according to a statement from Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa. In 2021, the property ran fundraising activations benefiting the American Cancer Society across the full month of October.
A Season of Smaller-Scale Giving Back
Saturday's casino-backed pledge builds on a pattern of community fundraising the club has leaned into all season. Tampa Bay Sun supporters took part in gear raffles at home matches throughout the 2025-2026 season, and the club's foundation reported donating more than $1,200 to local organizations as a result, according to the team's own announcement on its website.
Those raffle proceeds were spread across several groups, including Faces of Courage, the I Am More Foundation, TOPSoccer, Girls on the Run Greater Tampa Bay, Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Foundation, and Metro Healthy Communities, the club said. Faces of Courage in particular is a cancer support organization that provides free educational, recreational, and community-based programs for patients and survivors, making it a natural tie-in for Saturday's Pink Out theme.
Between the pink shirts, the family-oriented activations, and a sponsor willing to put real money behind every goal, Saturday's match gives Tampa Bay soccer fans a chance to watch a Sun FC win do double duty for a cause.
