Taylor Swift's new song “Cleveland!,” written as a tribute to her husband Travis Kelce's hometown, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated Oct. 10, 2026. It landed in a crowded field of Swift hits, with two more of her new tracks also cracking the top five the same week.

Swift wrote “Cleveland!” as an homage to Kelce, according to cleveland.com, which first reported on the song when it dropped alongside three other new tracks as part of The Encore edition of her album The Life of a Showgirl. The chorus nods directly to Kelce's roots, with the lyric “He already took me to Cleveland and he showed me the Heights” — an apparent reference to Cleveland Heights, where Kelce grew up. The Washington Post likewise noted the song includes an ode to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Kelce, an all-pro NFL tight end, married Swift in New York in July, and the pair has made their connection to Northeast Ohio increasingly visible. They recently bought a $5 million house in Bratenahl and have been spotted around Cleveland, including at a Cavaliers game, per the same cleveland.com report.

A Crowded Top Five, All Taylor Swift

“Cleveland!” wasn't alone at the top of the chart. Swift's “Patient Zero” launched at No. 1 on the Hot 100, marking her 16th career chart leader, while “Babylon” debuted at No. 4 and “Pink Clouding” at No. 5, according to Billboard. That gave Swift four songs simultaneously sitting in the Hot 100's upper tier for the week.

The new tracks pushed Swift's career total to 74 Hot 100 top-10 hits, the most among women in the chart's history, Billboard reports. The Life of a Showgirl now counts 14 Hot 100 top-10 songs total — the most ever produced by a single album.

On the Billboard Global 200 chart, “Cleveland!” ranked even higher, landing at No. 2, with “Babylon” at No. 3 and “Pink Clouding” at No. 5, Billboard's chart-beat column noted. “Patient Zero” topped that global chart too, becoming Swift's eighth Global 200 No. 1 — tying her with BTS for the most since the chart launched in September 2020. The milestone also pushed her to 47 Global 200 top-10 appearances, surpassing Drake's 45 for the most in the chart's archives.

Showgirl's Record-Breaking Run Continues

The Encore reissue, released with four previously unreleased songs on Sept. 25, helped send The Life of a Showgirl soaring back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for a 13th total week atop that chart. The album had already broken Spotify's records for daily and weekly streams and hit No. 1 on album charts in more than 30 countries, according to cleveland.com's report at the time of the reissue.

The Encore edition also saw a massive sales jump, totaling 173,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 1 — a 619% increase week over week, per Billboard. Swift herself returned to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 for a record-extending 138th week, continuing a chart dominance that shows no signs of slowing.

For Kelce, whose Cleveland Heights roots now headline a top-three hit heard worldwide, it's an unusual kind of hometown tribute — one measured not in local pride alone, but in chart positions stretching from the Hot 100 to the Global 200.
