Jasper Apartment Complex Has Drawn Police Attention Before
Prospect Point Apartments has appeared in local coverage before. In June, kjas.com reported that police were investigating a shooting at Prospect Point Apartments, the same 215 Premier Drive address, and described a fight or altercation that led to a death. Separately, a 2024 report from 12newsnow.com described a teen shot at a Jasper apartment complex with no suspects identified at that time, though it is not established that it involved the same location or circumstances as Thursday's shooting.
No further details on the motive, weapon, or circumstances leading up to Thursday's shooting have been released. Hoodline will update this story as more information becomes available.
