A new fast-casual option is landing on Main Street in downtown Yonkers next week, as Teriyaki Madness prepares to open its doors on October 8. The Seattle-style teriyaki chain is marking the occasion with $6 chicken teriyaki bowls and a giveaway that includes a full year of free food for a handful of lucky early customers.

The new restaurant at 34 Main St. is the third Teriyaki Madness location for franchise group Jumping Rock Management LLC, following its earlier restaurants in New Rochelle, New York, and Rockaway, New Jersey, according to RestaurantNews.com. The New Rochelle shop, which opened at 20 LeCount Place, was the brand's first restaurant in Westchester County, as reported by QSR Magazine. That outlet also noted that Jumping Rock Management LLC already had plans in motion to expand into Yonkers.

Jumping Rock Management LLC said it saw a clear opportunity to bring something distinctive to the area, pairing Asian-inspired flavors with fast-casual convenience for downtown Yonkers diners. The franchise group has described Yonkers as an exciting growth market within Westchester County, per the same account from RestaurantNews.com.

Opening Deals and a Year of Free Bowls

From October 8 through October 10, the Yonkers location will sell chicken teriyaki bowls for $6 apiece. The bigger prize goes to the first five customers who make a purchase on opening day: they'll walk away with free Teriyaki Madness for a year, which the chain defines as 24 free bowl vouchers loaded into winners' MadRewards accounts.

The next 20 customers through the door on October 8 won't leave empty-handed either — they'll receive free Teriyaki Madness for a month, equal to four free bowl vouchers distributed the same way, the report notes. It's a similar formula to what the chain ran when it opened its North Babylon location on Long Island, where it offered $6 Chicken Teriyaki Bowls over two days in March, according to RestaurantNews.com's earlier coverage. That North Babylon shop, owned by franchisee group Yummy Restaurants LLC, was described as the brand's first Long Island location and second in New York.

Hours and What's on the Menu

Once open, the Yonkers restaurant will run Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. The menu centers on customizable bowls loaded with marinated chicken, steak, salmon, or tofu, paired with fresh stir-fry vegetables and a gluten-free teriyaki sauce.

Teriyaki Madness was founded in 2003 as a fast-casual Seattle-style Asian concept, and the brand has picked up a string of industry honors along the way, including Food On Demand's Outstanding Operator Award and Franchise Times' Zor Award recognizing it as a top brand to buy. The chain has also appeared on Franchise Times' Top 400 list of the largest franchise systems in the country, and its leadership has been named to QSR Magazine's Young Leaders to Watch.

A Chain on a Growth Streak

The Yonkers opening comes as Teriyaki Madness pushes an aggressive nationwide expansion. RestaurantNews.com's report on the Yonkers debut put the chain's footprint at more than 200 shops across 41 states, while the same outlet's earlier story on the New Rochelle opening described the brand as having more than 200 shops across 40 states. A company blog post from Teriyaki Madness's franchise site put a more precise number on it, reporting 215 locations across 41 states as of June 30, after the chain opened 12 shops in the second quarter and entered Mississippi for the first time with two new restaurants.

That same recap reported systemwide sales growth of 29.3% year over year through the end of June, with year-to-date same-store sales up 4.66% and same-store traffic up 1.12% — figures the company said outpaced fast-casual industry averages of 0.63% in sales and a 1.87% decline in traffic. Catering sales were up 59.15% year to date compared with the same period a year earlier, according to the franchise blog. QSR Magazine separately reported that the chain posted nearly 31% year-over-year systemwide sales growth in the second quarter, after starting 2026 with 28% year-over-year systemwide sales growth in the first quarter.

Teriyaki Madness says it's actively seeking franchise operators of all backgrounds as it continues adding locations. For now, downtown Yonkers residents just have to wait for October 8 to see what the newest addition to Main Street tastes like.
