A grand-opening celebration is planned on Main Street in Frisco for Monday, October 12. The restaurant at 4350 Main St., Suite 140, brings a menu featuring Thai and Isan dishes to the suburb.
A Facebook post in the Frisco Community group invited guests to a grand opening on October 12. As Community Impact reports, the restaurant's menu spans both familiar Thai staples and dishes specific to Thailand's northeastern Isan region, a distinction that matters to diners who know the difference between a central Thai curry and the fermented, funkier flavors of the country's rural northeast.
A Menu That Digs Deeper Than Pad Thai
Per the same Community Impact report, Thonglor's kitchen turns out fried red snapper, pad kra pao, drunken udon noodles, egg drop soup, grilled lobster, chicken wings, grilled pork jowl, lamb curry, and mango with sticky rice. The restaurant also offers pickup, delivery, and event catering, and operates a website at www.thonglorfrisco.com.
Beyond the crowd-pleasers, Thonglor's own menu lists Isan dishes such as Thum Poo Pa La and Larb Pork Jowl, according to Thonglor Frisco's website.
Why the Name Carries Weight in Bangkok
The restaurant's name references Bangkok's Thonglor district.
Frisco's Asian Community
Asian residents make up 33.6% of Frisco's population, according to 2024 American Community Survey data. Frisco's estimated 2025 population is 245,470, according to the Frisco Economic Development Corporation.
Thonglor's menu includes Isan dishes alongside familiar Thai staples, giving Frisco diners another option for regional Thai flavors.
