President Donald Trump is planning to hold a rally in Bullhead City next Wednesday, October 14, at or near Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport, with doors reportedly opening at 9:30 a.m. and a speaking time set for 1 p.m. The visit would mark Trump's second trip to the same airport, where he previously held a rally in 2020, and it comes less than three weeks before Arizona voters decide races for governor, attorney general and the U.S. House.
According to KTAR News, the rally plans were first reported by the Arizona Republic, which cited a now-deleted post on the Republican National Committee's website. The timing is notable: KTAR reports the visit would come a week into early voting in Arizona, a state where, per Tucson.com, roughly 80% of voters cast their ballots by mail.
Not every outlet is treating the rally as a done deal. Havasu News reported that the GOP.com listing underlying the initial reports was gone and that the visit had not been confirmed. Tucson.com, meanwhile, described Trump as expected to hold a rally on Oct. 14 in Bullhead City, leaving the event's status somewhere between tentative and anticipated depending on which account you read.
Local Officials Point to a Noon Arrival
Mohave County Supervisor Rich Lettman announced the visit on his website and social media, according to The Bee, which reported that Trump will be visiting Mohave County and the Colorado River Valley on Wednesday at noon, October 14th. The outlet also reported that Trump is expected to arrive at Laughlin Bullhead International Airport aboard the new Air Force One. The president's own public schedule, as compiled by Roll Call's Factbase Trump Calendar, lists a political rally in Bullhead City, Arizona at the same airport, lending further weight to the plans even as confirmation details continue to shift between reports.
The Bee's report adds that additional details on registration, parking and transportation to the site will be posted shortly on the Republican National Committee's website and social media pages, attributing that information to Lettman. As of this writing, those logistics had not yet been made public.
Part of a Broader Fall Campaign Swing
If it goes forward, the Bullhead City stop would be Trump's latest visit in a fall campaign swing that has largely stuck to visiting friendly, Republican-majority areas, as Tucson.com has noted. Mohave County fits that pattern: KTAR reports Trump won more than 77% of the vote there in 2024, among the strongest Republican margins in the state. Azcentral reported the rally is intended to energize Arizona Republicans ahead of the high-stakes November midterm election.
Trump was last in Arizona in April for a Phoenix rally hosted by Turning Point Action at Dream City Church, per Tucson.com's reporting. He has since campaigned elsewhere around the country, speaking at a rally in San Antonio on Thursday with Senate candidate Ken Paxton and House candidate Carlos De La Cruz, according to NBC News. He also visited Syracuse on Friday for a campaign rally with Republican Bruce Blakeman, as reported by Syracuse.com.
A Return to Bullhead City
Bullhead City's airport has hosted a Trump rally before. Havasu News reported that Trump headlined one there on October 28, 2020. The outlet's earlier reporting described Trump's Mohave County visit as apparently the first known stop in the area by a sitting president.
As first detailed by AZFamily, city officials characterize the October 14 stop as Trump's second visit to Bullhead City and the Colorado River Valley, coming roughly three weeks before the midterm election. With early voting in Arizona underway, the rally would give Trump a direct platform in one of his strongest Arizona counties just as voters begin filling them out.
