Cypresswood Drive has been the site of other notable Precinct 4 enforcement stops in the past. In July, a deputy pulled over a man riding a motorcycle in a moving traffic lane while yelling at another driver in the 20500 block of Cypresswood Drive, a separate incident reported by FOX 26 Houston. That stop turned up Timothy Edwards, who the outlet said had an open Harris County felony warrant for burglary with intent to harm another person.
On Feb. 27, 2023, a reported catalytic-converter theft at an apartment complex in the same 20500 block of Cypresswood Drive led deputies on a foot chase before they took Tyler Randolph into custody, according to ABC13. Deputies in that case reported finding a pistol, marijuana, saws, and catalytic converters inside a black sedan. Both incidents involved arrests along that stretch of road.
