More than 100 vendors and crafters will line the grounds of the Crowne Plaza in Warwick this Sunday for the annual Spooktacular Marketplace, a free outdoor Halloween fair running from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Shoppers can expect food trucks, kids activities, character meet-and-greets, a petting zoo, and free parking, all without an admission charge.

The event is presented by We Be Jammin' Events, according to WPRI.com.

We Be Jammin' has also been linked to a self-employment story involving Jason.

A Year-Round Warwick Storefront Behind the Seasonal Fairs

Beyond organizing regional markets and craft fairs, We Be Jammin' also has a brick-and-mortar store in Warwick, according to Edible Rhody. The Crowne Plaza itself sits on landscaped suburban grounds near T.F. Green International Airport and offers 44,000 square feet of meeting space, per GoProvidence, making it a familiar host site for community gatherings — the venue also welcomed another large food and vendor showcase, the Taste of Rhode Island Winter Showcase, just days earlier.

New this year is a noose toss game alongside the returning skeleton coffin challenge, the station's report notes. Participants who successfully toss through the noose can win free tickets to Haunted Gallows, the haunted house and field attraction in Burrillville that's providing the event's Halloween-themed setup.

The Haunted Gallows Connection

Haunted Gallows was launched in 2022 at Richardson's Sawmill in Burrillville by Warwick resident Jason Soares, who had previously directed the Scary Acres attraction at Confreda Farms for 11 years, according to NRI NOW. The attraction sits on a 600-acre farm and features two main scare experiences — the witch-themed Bathsheba's Woods and the carnival-themed Dark Fair — plus the Boo Patch, a non-scary trail of illuminated vintage pumpkins built for younger children, per a Haunted Gallows Instagram reel

Small Vendors Riding a National Halloween Spending Wave

The marketplace's vendor-heavy format lines up with a broader national trend: total U.S. consumer spending on Halloween is projected to reach $13.5 billion in 2026, up from $13.1 billion in 2025, according to the National Retail Federation. American shoppers are expected to spend an average of $115.14 per person this season, with costumes, decorations, and candy leading the way. NRF survey data also shows 13% of Halloween consumers now plan to shop at local and small businesses, nearly double the 7% share reported a decade ago in 2016 — a shift that could mean a busier Sunday for the Crowne Plaza's craft vendors.

The Spooktacular Marketplace remains free to attend and free to park, with food trucks, character meet-and-greets, and games planned for this Sunday.
