A 27-year-old Watervliet man is facing weapons and reckless endangerment charges after Albany police say he fired a handgun near First Street and Quail Street two months ago, in an incident that left no one hurt but ended with his arrest at a Watervliet residence this past Thursday.
Quantay R. Pitts was taken into custody on October 8 by the Albany Police Department, with help from the U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Watervliet Housing Authority, according to cbs6albany.com. The arrest capped roughly seven weeks of investigation into a shooting that had rattled the First Street and Quail Street area back on August 19.
