Northeastern New York Surgical Center is moving to 612 Maple Avenue in Wilton, into the newly built Saratoga Regional Health Center. The center is the surgical home of EyesNY.

According to The Post-Star, the surgical center is moving to the health center. The center has told patients with upcoming procedures that it will reach out directly with details about the transition, and more information is available through the center's website and phone line.

The surgical center is the surgical home of EyesNY, the outlet reports. EyesNY provides routine eye exams, cataract care, glaucoma care, retinal disease care and other specialized eye treatment. The Wilton center offers eye surgery.

Other Providers at the Health Center

Dr. Gregory Pinto, who serves as vice president of EyesNY according to his EyesNY biography, said the relocation matters to patients because they can now receive a full spectrum of eye care in one building with fewer handoffs between appointments, per the same account.

Beyond EyesNY's surgical operations, the complex accommodates OrthoNY, Albany ENT & Allergy Services, Saratoga Schenectady Gastroenterology Associates and a St. Peter's Hospital cardiology center.

Other Tenants Settling Into the Maple Avenue Campus

The broader health center at 612 Maple Avenue is officially open for business, according to the Daily Gazette, which describes the two-story medical facility as 125,000 square feet.

OrthoNY has relocated its clinic from 5 Care Lane to the new Maple Avenue address, according to a blog post from OrthoNY, where the new space includes 45 examination rooms and capacity for up to 15 providers daily. The orthopedic group also plans to open its fourth ambulatory surgery center at the health center this fall, per the same post, while St. Peter's Health Partners is slated to open a clinic at the location in October offering cardiology and laboratory services, the Daily Gazette reports.

A Six-Year Build With Tax Incentives and Road Upgrades

Paulsen Development, the project's developer, described the health center as a six-year process from start to finish, the Daily Gazette reports. The project received funding from the Saratoga County Industrial Development Agency in the form of PILOT real estate tax exemptions, and Paulsen said the company invested more than $1 million in traffic improvements along Maple Avenue tied to the medical office building.

St. Peter's Health Partners is seeking approval for a $17.3 million freestanding ambulatory surgery center at the Capital Region Health Park in Latham, near Exit 6 of the Northway, a project the Daily Gazette has also covered. Elsewhere in upstate New York, the University of Rochester Medical Center has touted what it calls the largest hospital-affiliated ambulatory surgery center in the region.
