Detectives Still Piecing Together What Happened
Detectives from the sheriff’s office Major Crimes Unit are now investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and no arrests had been made as of Monday morning, the report notes. Investigators have not said whether the suspect and victims knew each other, but they do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the public, the outlet reported. Detectives with the unit are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led up to the shooting, according to myeverettnews.com.
Medical Examiner to Confirm Identity and Cause of Death
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine positive identification as well as the cause and manner of the man’s death, the same account states. That step is typical in homicide cases where investigators are still confirming basic facts before releasing a victim’s name publicly.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. Anyone with knowledge of the incident can call the sheriff’s office Major Crimes tip line at 425-388-3845. With no suspect identified and the relationship between those involved still unclear, detectives are relying on the public to help fill in the gaps as the investigation continues.
