Dirty Old Power is AJJ's ninth studio album, scheduled for release September 25, 2026, through AJJ Unlimited Ltd., according to BroadwayWorld. Frontman Sean Bonnette said, “A lot of Dirty Old Power is about how our language is failing us,” in remarks reported by BroadwayWorld.
The album credits Sean Bonnette, Ben Gallaty, Preston Bryant, Mark Glick and Grant Bubar as performers. AJJ's Bandcamp listing credits John Congleton with production and recording at Animal Rites, and Alan Douches with mastering at West West Side Music.
AJJ is scheduled to perform at Tampa's Orpheum on Tuesday, November 10. Tickets start at $37.60, Creative Loafing Tampa reported; the date falls one week after the midterm elections.
Ybor City's place in Tampa history
According to the National Park Service, Ybor City is a National Historic Landmark district northeast of downtown Tampa. Its character reflects European, Asian and Cuban immigrants who settled there to support Tampa's cigar industry in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This offers broader historical context for a Tampa concert, though the available event information does not establish a connection between the Orpheum and the historic district.
Michigan quintet Greet Death is set to open the show. Creative Loafing Tampa reported that the band released Die in Love the previous year.
