Akron is waking up under clouds Sunday, but the early-November chill will quickly give way to a mild afternoon. Temperatures should climb from the upper 40s into the upper 60s, topping out near 70 degrees with only a light south wind.
Sunday Stays Mild And Mostly Cloudy
The day should remain mostly cloudy with little chance of rain, making it a relatively easy day for errands, parks and outdoor plans. The National Weather Service expects a high near 70 and a south wind around 6 mph, while temperatures fall only to about 51 degrees Sunday night.
Tuesday Brings The Week’s Warmest Air
Monday will stay mild, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 69, although a few isolated showers could brush western parts of the region. Tuesday looks like the warmest day of the stretch, reaching about 76 degrees under mostly cloudy skies before clouds thicken again Tuesday night.
Rain Builds By Wednesday
The dry spell is expected to break Wednesday afternoon, when rain chances rise to about 40 percent. Rain becomes more likely Wednesday night and Thursday, with chances near 70 percent Wednesday night and 50 percent Thursday; the NWS forecast discussion expects widespread rain.
Showers may linger into Friday, when Akron could see a high near 66, followed by a Saturday high in the lower 60s. No watches, warnings or advisories are posted for Summit County, but midweek commuters and anyone planning outdoor events should keep an umbrella handy.
