Secret Level, the arcade bar tucked into Arvada's historic district, is adding a whole new reason to linger between rounds of pinball: a 15-flavor wing menu called Side Quest Wings. The new offering is available inside Secret Level's Olde Town barcade at 5711 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard, giving regulars a far deeper food lineup than the chicken chunks and handful of sides the bar opened with back in 2023.
Owner Scott Spears said he launched the wing concept to give the historic district more food choices, according to Arvada Press. The name is a nod to the arcade itself — Spears said Side Quest references the video games that fill Secret Level's floor, tying the food menu back to the bar's gaming identity rather than treating it as a bolt-on concept.
Fifteen Flavors, Bone-In or Boneless
Diners can order wings bone-in or boneless in batches of six, 12, or 18, per the Arvada Press report. Every order comes with carrots, celery, and a choice of ranch or blue cheese, according to Secret Level's menu page, which also spells out the sauce math: one sauce with six wings, two with a dozen, and three with 18.
The flavor list leans into both sweet-and-spicy and classic bar-food territory. Alongside Cajun, lemon pepper, and sweet chili dry rubs, the menu includes Flamin' Hot Cheeto, Thai peanut, maple chipotle, pineapple habanero, and jalapeno bacon jam wings, the Arvada Press reports. Secret Level staff tested the sauces and rubs at School House Kitchen and Libations before settling on the final lineup, per Spears.
Beyond Wings: Fries, Wraps, and Fried Cauliflower
Side Quest Wings isn't just about the wings. The menu also adds a chicken wrap, pickle fries, waffle fries, and beer-battered fries, with customers able to season their fries with a dry rub, according to the same report. Fried cauliflower rounds out the expansion and can be tossed in any of the rubs or sauces on the menu, giving non-meat-eaters a way into the flavor lineup too.
As of press time, Side Quest Wings had not yet served the public, the Arvada Press reports. Even so, Spears said the announcement has already drawn a positive response on social media. He struck a cautious note about what comes next, saying people are excited about the concept but that its success remains uncertain.
When to Find Side Quest Wings
Secret Level and the new wing menu share the same hours across the week. The barcade is open 2 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Arvada Press report.
