A new business called Bentos Express is headed for Promenade Shopping Center in Sacramento's Pocket neighborhood, adding another option to a retail strip that has been steadily filling in with new food tenants. The business will join Block Craft Beer + Kitchen and Nuyo Frozen Yogurt as the latest additions to the center.
The opening was reported by the Sacramento Business Journal, which named Bentos Express as the newest business set to open at the center. Promenade Shopping Center sits at the northwest corner of Rush River Drive and Windbridge Drive, according to a property listing for the center.
A Growing Lineup of Food Options in the Pocket
Bentos Express is set to join a center that already leans heavily into food. The Promenade Shopping Center includes an Asian-fusion spot. The addition of Block Craft Beer + Kitchen and Nuyo Frozen Yogurt as recent newcomers, as noted in the Sacramento Business Journal's report, suggests the center has been actively filling vacancies with a mix of dining and dessert concepts.
Promenade Shopping Center describes itself as a one-stop shopping destination in the Pocket area of Sacramento, according to its own website. That self-description lines up with the broader mix of casual and Asian dining tenants already noted at the property.
Nearby, a Restaurant Could Replace Device Brewing
Not far from Promenade, another Pocket-area food space has been in flux. Device Brewing closed all three of its Sacramento-area locations in spring 2025, according to local reports cited by hoodline.com. A restaurant could replace Device in the Pocket area.
