Crumbs Cake Studio has swapped its original storefront for a bigger home just across the road, settling into 817 Linden St. in Bethlehem inside a space that used to be a pizza shop. The bakery is moving into a location larger than its old one, marking a new chapter.
The move gives the bakery a larger space. Crumbs opened in late 2021 and has since moved to a new storefront.
Felicia Rodriguez opened the studio in December 2021. The Rising Tide Community Loan Fund profile says Crumbs received a $25,000 small-business loan. The funds went toward appliances, equipment and remodeling the storefront.
The renovation marks a fresh start for the bakery in a larger space.
Crumbs Cake Studio Moves to a Larger Location
Owner Felicia Rodriguez is moving Crumbs Cake Studio into a larger location after operating from its original storefront on Linden Street.
The studio's offerings include tiered cakes and cakes themed around movie and TV characters, along with letter- and number-shaped cakes topped with fruit, flowers and macarons. The bakery also offers cookies, cupcakes and macarons.
The studio also uses its space for hands-on celebrations, extending its custom-cake business beyond selling finished desserts. Crumbs offers private cake- and cupcake-decorating parties on Sunday afternoons, with guests making personalized treats to take home. The bakery’s website says parties can accommodate up to 12 guests, making the new location a venue for small group events as well as customer pickups.
Reopening Hours and What's Next
Crumbs' weekly hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
A move to a new storefront also has a food-safety licensing dimension. Pennsylvania requires retail food facilities to obtain a license before operating, and the state says those licenses do not transfer to a new location. The state directs some businesses to local health departments for licensing.
The bakery now operates next to Aqui Es: A Taste of Mexico on Linden Street.
