Dallas is waking up to a clean weather reset Tuesday: overnight showers and thunderstorms are moving out, skies are clear, and the temperature is around 64 degrees. A sharp northwest breeze is the main leftover from the front, but the rest of the day looks sunny and much calmer from a rain standpoint. The high should reach about 75 before temperatures ease back this afternoon.

According to National Weather Service Fort Worth, the front is bringing dry, cooler air into North Texas, with northwest winds at 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 30 mph. Storms should be out of the Dallas area by midmorning, leaving a mostly clear Tuesday night with a low near 55. No watches, warnings or advisories are listed for the forecast area.

A Sunny Midweek Brings One More Warmup

Wednesday stays sunny and pleasant, with a high near 74 and light west-northwest winds. Thursday brings the warmest day of the near-term forecast, climbing to around 79 with a southwesterly breeze and gusts as high as 25 mph. An isolated shower is possible mainly south of Dallas, but most of the metroplex should stay dry.

Cooler, Drier Weather Takes Over Friday

Friday starts the cooler stretch, with sunshine and a high near 71, followed by a partly cloudy night around 51. Saturday and Sunday remain mostly dry, with highs near 69 and 70 and overnight lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

The pattern is a marked change from Monday night’s storm setup, which Hoodline reported as the main weather concern heading into Tuesday. The longer-range outlook keeps Dallas mostly dry through Monday, when temperatures may rebound to the low 70s; with little meaningful rain expected, forecasters say drought conditions could continue to worsen.
