The family behind Botanas El Paiza, the Imlay City restaurant and bar known for its quasibarras and fajita dinners, is opening a third location called Casa Amigos in Washington Township, with a target launch sometime in December 2026. The new spot will sit at 64055 Van Dyke Avenue, according to co-owner Orlando Guerrero.
A Familiar Menu in a New Market
Casa Amigos is expected to serve cuisine similar to what Botanas El Paiza already offers, with plans to bring the same dishes to the Washington Township location, as reported by WhatNow. That means burritos, fajita dinners, and quasibarras could land on tables in Washington Township much as they have in Imlay City since Botanas El Paiza first opened its north Almont Street location back in 2017. The family-owned Mexican restaurant and bar has since expanded once already, adding a Davison Road location in Davison Township.
Speaking about the growth, the restaurant said, “Our family gets to bring our sazón de guanajuato to a third community.” That expansion mirrors a similar move the family made in October, when El Patrón by Botanas El Paiza officially opened its doors in Davison on October 22, 2026, according to banana1015.com. That Davison Road spot, located at 7498 Davison Road, built its menu around street tacos, birria options, fajitas, enchiladas, and tostadas — the kind of lineup that hints at what diners might find when Casa Amigos eventually opens.
Where to Find the New Spot
Casa Amigos is set up on the west side of Van Dyke Avenue next to a Mobil gas station, on the same side of the road as Hungry Howie's Pizza and Shawarma Xtreme. The location is close to the Van Dyke Freeway on-ramp and sits a short drive from downtown Washington, making it an easy stop for commuters and locals alike.
For now, the exact opening date remains sometime in December 2026, per the timeline shared by Guerrero. Botanas El Paiza said it will provide updates about Casa Amigos on its Facebook page as the opening date approaches, giving fans of the family's Imlay City original and its Davison Township expansion a place to watch for news.
