Breaking Benjamin is headed back to Albany, and this time the hard rock veterans are bringing a stacked bill with them. The band is set to play MVP Arena on March 3, 2027, at 7 p.m., sharing the stage with Starset, P.O.D. and Filter for what's shaping up to be one of the heavier nights on the Capital Region's concert calendar next year.
The show is slated for a Wednesday night, and according to NEWS10 ABC, Starset, P.O.D. and Filter will all join Breaking Benjamin for the performance. General tickets go on sale to the public this Friday, November 6, at 10 a.m. local time, per NewYorkUpstate. Once they're live, fans can grab seats at the arena's box office or online through Ticketmaster, with MVP Arena itself located at 51 South Pearl Street in downtown Albany.
A Stop on a Bigger Winter Run
Albany isn't a standalone stop. The Capital Region date is part of a larger trek that Consequence describes as a 16-date winter tour, running from February 16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, through March 12 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The tour routes the band through Syracuse the night before Albany, with Breaking Benjamin scheduled to play Upstate Medical University Arena at the Oncenter War Memorial on March 2 before heading east, as reported by Syracuse.com.
The pairing of back-to-back Upstate New York shows gives regional fans two chances within 24 hours to catch the band on its home turf tour swing. The article's report notes that as of its publication, the Albany date was the only New York concert Breaking Benjamin had planned for 2027, though that status reflects the information available at the time it was reported.
Hits, History and a Chart-Topping Comeback
Breaking Benjamin has released six studio albums across more than 25 years, and the band remains best known for songs like “The Diary of Jane,” “I Will Not Bow” and “So Cold,” the staples that still anchor its live sets. The group has also found fresh momentum in recent years: “Awaken,” released in October 2024, marked its first new song since 2018, according to NewYorkUpstate.
That resurgence has continued. The band's latest single, “Something Wicked,” came out May 13, 2026, following a live debut on May 9, per the same account. CNY News reports that the track reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking Breaking Benjamin's ninth career No. 1 on that chart. The outlet also notes that 2027 marks the 25th anniversary of the band's debut album, “Saturate.”
Accounts describe the band's history differently: NewYorkUpstate reports that Breaking Benjamin formed in 1998, while NEWS10 ABC describes it as a hard rock group with a more-than-25-year history. Either way, the band's track record in the region runs deep, including a May 23, 2025 show at Saratoga Performing Arts Center alongside Staind, as detailed by CNY News.
Return to a Familiar Stage
The March 3 date will mark Breaking Benjamin's first time back at the venue now known as MVP Arena since a co-headlining show with Five Finger Death Punch on December 10, 2018, when the building was still called Times Union Center. The band has made other regional appearances since, including a 2022 stop in Glens Falls, and an earlier Glens Falls Civic Center show alongside Three Days Grace back in 2007.
With Starset, P.O.D. and Filter rounding out the bill, the March 3 show promises a heavy-hitting lineup spanning multiple eras of rock radio. Tickets become available this Friday morning, giving Capital Region fans their first real shot at locking in seats for the band's return.
