Buffalo is waking up Tuesday under fog and mist, with temperatures around 57 degrees, but the early-November warm spell is far from over. The high should reach the low 70s Tuesday and the mid-to-upper 70s Wednesday before rain and gustier winds change the feel of the week.
Warmest Weather Arrives Wednesday
A few showers may pass through before 9 a.m. Tuesday, then clouds should break for a partly sunny afternoon with south winds between 8 and 13 mph. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny and unusually warm for the season, with a high in the mid-to-upper 70s, above Buffalo’s Nov. 4 record high of 74 set in 2022, according to the National Weather Service.
The latest forecast brings a wetter turn than the outlook covered in Hoodline’s earlier Buffalo forecast. Rain showers are now expected after 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a 90% chance of precipitation overnight.
Widespread Showers Begin Wednesday Night; Gusty Winds Follow Thursday
Showers are likely to continue through Thursday morning before tapering around early afternoon. Thursday’s high should reach 66 degrees, with southwest winds of 13 to 20 mph that could produce gusts up to 30 mph after the cold front Thursday across the Niagara Frontier before skies turn partly sunny.
Cooler, Showery Weekend Follows
Friday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and a high near 62, followed by a low around 46 Friday night. Saturday looks cooler and unsettled, with a 50% chance of showers and a high near 56, while Sunday should bring partly sunny skies and a high near 56, with showers possible Sunday night.
Monday remains seasonably cooler, with a high near 54 and another chance of showers. Buffalo has no watches, warnings or advisories posted, though dry leaves and other fine fuels remain vulnerable to outdoor flames before the midweek rain arrives.
