A new entertainment and lifestyle media platform is set to make its debut in Los Angeles next week, with Latino entertainment personality Margo Perez throwing a launch party that promises a few famous faces. Perez has announced the official launch of Margo on the Move, celebrating with an exclusive media and influencer social mixer scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12, in Los Angeles.
According to a press release distributed through EIN Presswire, the mixer will feature a special guest appearance by Chanel West Coast and live music by DJ Sophenom. The El Paso Times also carried the announcement, noting the gathering is designed to bring together celebrities, media professionals, influencers, digital creators, entertainment executives, and industry tastemakers.
What the Night Will Include
Per the release, the event is built around networking, entertainment, and connection, with activations from Johnny Modo, E & D Hat Co., and Pretty Booth adding to the mix. The gathering will also include an open bar and complimentary hors d'oeuvres, giving attendees plenty of reasons to linger past the red-carpet moments.
Margo on the Move itself is described in the release as an entertainment and lifestyle media platform focused on Hollywood, storytelling, fashion, lifestyle, and cultural representation. The press materials note it will include exclusive interviews, red-carpet coverage, film premieres, entertainment news, and original features, with the stated aim of creating meaningful connections and amplifying diverse voices.
Perez's Own Story Behind the Platform
Perez is positioned in the release not just as a media personality but as a mental health advocate, someone who has publicly discussed his own experiences with depression and drug addiction. The release states that he supports reducing stigma around depression, addiction, and emotional well-being, and that he hopes to raise awareness of mental health, addiction recovery, and suicide prevention through his platform.
That advocacy is paired with content that, per the release, celebrates Latino culture, diversity, and the LGBTQ+ community. Perez creates red-carpet content, celebrity interviews, film reviews, lifestyle features, and foodie adventures, and the release says he plans to partner with nonprofit organizations to support underserved communities as the platform grows.
Looking Beyond the Launch Party
Beyond the Nov. 12 mixer, Perez is said to be aiming to expand his opportunities in on-camera interviews, commercials, and acting. In the release, he is quoted summing up the project's mission simply: “Everyone has a story worth sharing and Margo on the Move is here for it!”
The announcement lists Destiny Good as media contact for D.Good Publicity and Melissa V. Rodriguez as media contact for MVR PR, the two firms handling outreach for the launch. With the mixer still days away, Los Angeles industry watchers will soon find out whether the star-studded guest list translates into the kind of buzz Margo on the Move is banking on.
