Travelers passing through Bradley International Airport now have two new reasons to linger before their flight: Chick-fil-A and Sergio's Go have both opened in the terminal's post-security food court, giving passengers fresh grab-and-go options in Windsor Locks.
The openings came in partnership with SSP America, the airport's food-and-beverage operator, according to masslive.com. Sergio's Go leans into Cuban-inspired fare, with empanadas, sandwiches and pastries built for travelers who need to eat fast and get to their gate, per the same report. Both restaurants will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, the outlet notes, a schedule meant to cover the full sweep of flight times moving through the terminal.
There's one wrinkle for Sunday travelers hoping for a Chick-fil-A fix: the location at Bradley is expected to be closed on Sundays, according to Hartford Business Journal, consistent with the chain's long-standing closure policy at locations elsewhere.
Officials Tout Expanded Choices for Passengers
Connecticut Airport Authority Executive Director and CEO Michael W. Shea said the new additions provide passengers with more choices, framing the openings as part of a broader push to improve the overall airport experience, per the airport's announcement. As reported by WFSB, Shea described the openings as another step toward enhancing the passenger experience and giving travelers more dining choices. Kyle Phillips, also quoted in that report, said the two restaurants bring greater choice, quality and convenience to Bradley.
Bradley officials have said passenger demand drives which vendors the airport brings in, with one official telling FOX61, “We listen to our passengers.” That philosophy has already played out once this year: Urban Lodge Brewing Co., a craft brewery with locations in Hartford and Manchester, opened a sit-down spot at the airport in the spring, according to a prior WFSB report. The Connecticut Airport Authority had announced on April 29, 2026 that Urban Lodge opened at Bradley in partnership with SSP America, per MetroHartford Alliance.
A Pizza Spot Is Still to Come, Though the Timeline Is Fuzzy
A third addition, Sparrow Pizza, is planned near Gates 1–12, though reports differ on exactly when it will arrive. Masslive.com reports the pizzeria is anticipating a winter 2027 opening, while Hartford Business Journal reports construction is underway with an opening expected in early 2027. Either way, the new slice shop will join Chick-fil-A and Sergio's Go as part of Bradley's steady rollout of post-security dining upgrades.
