Clovis police spent two days checking in on registered sex offenders living under court supervision in the city, and by the time the operation wrapped, two men were facing brand-new felony charges. Victor Schumacher, 39, and Able Snowden, 28, were arrested on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material, with both men now facing multiple felonies.
The arrests came out of a citywide operation in which officers conducted 15 probation searches across Clovis, according to ABC30 Fresno. The sweep specifically targeted registered sex offenders who were already on probation for prior possession of child sexual abuse material, and of the 15 people checked, only Schumacher and Snowden were found to be in violation of their probation terms. Local outlets have described the operation under slightly different names — ABC30 called it “Operation No Tricks No Treats,” while YourCentralValley.com referred to it as “Operation No Tricks or Treats.”
Both men were booked into the Fresno County Jail on the new felony counts, the same outlet reports. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children task force partnered with Clovis police on the operation and assisted throughout, lending specialized investigative resources to the probation checks.
Detectives Point to Kik, Roblox and Discord
The Clovis Police Department said it regularly receives tips about people possessing child sexual abuse material, and those tips are investigated by specially trained detectives, according to KMPH. The station reports that detectives have noted an increase in this kind of activity on platforms including Kik, Roblox and Discord.
That platform-specific warning lines up with broader reporting on the scale of the problem. The Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force receives thousands of online CyberTip reports every year from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the same account from the operation that led to a separate string of arrests in December.
Part of a Pattern of Local Task Force Operations
This is not the first large-scale sweep the Central California ICAC task force has run in the region. A multi-agency operation called Operation Naughty or Nice, conducted from December 18 through December 21, 2025, led to 21 men being arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges related to arranging to meet a child for sex. Those arrestees ranged in age from 21 to 66, and the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force participated in that operation as well.
Before that, a 2023 operation called Operation Boogeyman resulted in 14 arrests over three days. Compared with those larger sweeps, the Clovis probation operation was narrower in scope — focused specifically on offenders already under court supervision — but it produced the same outcome: new felony charges tied to child sexual abuse material.
