A car crashed at Robert’s Christmas Wonderland in Clearwater on Monday, causing damage to the building, according to WFLA.
Road Closure Reported Nearby
A separate post from the police department's Facebook page noted that Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard was closed westbound at Arcturas as officers investigated a crash in the area. It is not clear from available information whether that closure was tied to the Smoke Zone collision or a different incident on the same stretch of road.
Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, a busy corridor, has seen vehicle-into-building incidents before. In March 2025, an intoxicated driver slammed a car into a different Clearwater building, causing roughly $30,000 in damages, according to the City of Clearwater as reported by WFLA. There is no indication that incident is connected to Monday’s crash at Robert’s Christmas Wonderland.
What Comes Next
As of now, the Clearwater Police Department has not released additional details about the cause of the crash or whether the driver will face any citations. Hoodline will update this story if police release further information about the investigation.
