A garage fire broke out on Lake Shadows Drive in the Crosby area shortly before 12:30 p.m. Friday, with flames visible at a structure beside a home, ABC13 Houston reported. Firefighters responded as smoke rose over the area.
ABC13’s SkyEye13 footage showed the fire and firefighters working outside the garage, offering an aerial view of the response.
What Remains Unknown
What sparked the fire has not been determined, and it is also unclear whether anyone was hurt in the blaze, the outlet reported. No further details on the extent of damage to the garage or the adjacent home have been released.
Why Garage Fires Can Threaten Nearby Homes
The cause of this Crosby-area fire remains undetermined. More broadly, the U.S. Fire Administration says fires that start in residential building garages tend to be larger and spread farther than fires that begin elsewhere in a residence.
ABC13 described its report as developing and said it was seeking further information Friday. Hoodline will update this account if additional details about the Crosby-area fire are confirmed.
