A new dessert shop has landed on FM 1960 West in Cy-Fair, and it's bringing cobblers, banana pudding, and cheesecake in a cup to Houston-area sweet tooths. The Peach Cobbler Factory Cy-Fair soft-opened on Oct. 25, with owner Tiffanie Johnson now gearing up for a grand-opening celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, that will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and activities for all ages.
Johnson owns and operates the Cy-Fair location, according to Community Impact, which reported the shop's lineup of cobblers, banana pudding, cheesecake in a cup, cookies, churros and more. As reported by RestaurantNews.com, the broader Peach Cobbler Factory menu also includes banana puddings, cinnamon rolls, brownies and freshly baked bundt cakes, served dine-in, for takeout, through delivery, or via catering.
For Johnson, the opening is personal. In a statement to Community Impact's dining desk, she said her late grandmother's peach cobbler had a way of pulling the family together. “My late grandmother made peach cobbler for our family, and it was something that brought us together around the table,” Johnson said.
A Family Recipe Meets a Fast-Growing Franchise
The Cy-Fair shop's official address is listed as 13325 FM 1960 W in Houston, per the company's own location page. The Peach Cobbler Factory was founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2013 and began franchising in 2022, according to RestaurantNews.com, a timeline also confirmed by a prior franchise announcement from PR Newswire.
Greg George, CEO and co-owner of the company, welcomed Johnson and her new Cy-Fair location, saying Texas offers tremendous opportunities for the brand, RestaurantNews.com reported. George brings more than 25 years of experience building and scaling franchise brands, and he co-owns the company alongside Larry Johnston, the former chairman and CEO of Albertsons Inc., per the same outlet.
Texas Expansion Keeps Rolling
The Cy-Fair opening is the latest in a wave of Texas growth for the chain. PR Newswire reported last year that the company had opened 12 new Texas locations since March 2024, with six more planned by early 2026 — and that it had grown to 115 locations across 22 states at the time, with more than 150 additional locations in its development pipeline. RestaurantNews.com separately reported the chain now has brick-and-mortar and mobile units operating or in development across more than 26 states as it expands its presence throughout Texas and the country.
Elsewhere in the Houston area, the chain has been busy too. WhatNow reported that, as of this past March, the brand operated more than 130 brick-and-mortar and mobile locations across 24 states. The outlet also detailed plans for a Webster location at 20911 Gulf Freeway, Suite B, a 1,513-square-foot buildout that the franchisee said he planned to open by the end of May or early June. Community Impact later reported that the Webster shop opened Oct. 3 on the Gulf Freeway, and the Webster franchisees told WhatNow they were already planning a second location in the League City area.
Airport Counters and More Markets on Deck
PR Newswire reported last year that the company was operating across the Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio markets while actively developing locations in Austin, San Antonio, greater Houston, and throughout the DFW area. The release also noted a Peach Cobbler Factory location open at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, with a second airport location already in the works at the time.
For now, Cy-Fair residents can find their own slice of the brand's Southern dessert lineup on FM 1960 West, with the Nov. 7, 2026, ribbon-cutting expected to mark Johnson's official welcome to the neighborhood.
