Yellow Bridge Brewing is marking a decade in Pennsylvania's craft beer scene with a new barrel-aged stout and a weekend of releases and events spanning its two Westmoreland County taprooms. The Delmont brewery opened in 2016 and now operates two locations, and this week it's celebrating with Midnight X, its first barrel-aged stout, alongside live music, a 5K run, and trivia.
According to Breweries in PA, Yellow Bridge Brewing is owned by Ian Staab and operates two locations in Delmont and Greensburg.
A Bourbon-Barrel First for the Brewery
The anniversary centerpiece is Midnight X, described by the seed report as the brewery's first barrel-aged stout, aged in a Blanton's barrel from Buffalo Trace and a Journeyman Distillery bourbon barrel. The beer carries notes of chocolate, coffee, and bourbon, and will be available on draft and in limited 750-milliliter bottles, with the release happening at both taprooms this week. The lineup also includes the brewery's Midnight Party Imperial Stout.
Pizza and a Second Location
Yellow Bridge's beer and pizza offerings eventually extended beyond Delmont. In September 2022, Yellow Bridge opened Yellow Bridge Brewing Tap and Table in downtown Greensburg, bringing the brewery's beers and pizza to a second Westmoreland County audience.
The Greensburg expansion had been in the works for some time before it opened. When Breweries in PA first reported on the plans in 2022, the new taproom at 33 East Pittsburgh Street was expected to open that summer, with licensing and permitting already completed and buildout underway.
Anniversary Weekend Lineup
The celebration is scheduled to stretch across both locations this week. In Greensburg, the Evergreens are set to perform live music from 6 to 9 p.m. today, while Delmont hosts Joe Materkowski of Abacus Jones for live music from 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Greensburg taproom and kitchen are scheduled to open at noon Saturday, November 7. The Fun Run 5K is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, November 8. Music bingo is also scheduled in Greensburg from 2 to 4 p.m.
A Tough Year for Pennsylvania Craft Beer
Yellow Bridge's milestone arrives as the state's craft beer industry faces headwinds. Production among Pennsylvania craft brewers fell roughly 28% in 2025 compared with the previous year, according to Brewers Association data cited by Axios Philadelphia. The industry's economic impact in the state also dipped 6.5% in 2025, to $4.8 billion, even as the number of operating breweries ticked up slightly — Pennsylvania had 538 craft breweries running last year, five more than in 2024. Nationally, craft beer production fell 5.1% in 2025, Axios reported.
That national pressure followed a rough 2024 for the industry. A TribLive report found that U.S. craft breweries saw more closures than openings that year, with 335 new breweries opening against 399 closing, and about 20 Pennsylvania craft breweries shutting their doors. Against that backdrop, Yellow Bridge is marking its anniversary with a bourbon-barrel stout. Yellow Bridge describes itself on its own website as family-run, a framing that has defined the brewery through a decade of growth in Delmont and its newer home in downtown Greensburg.
