The Mile High Holiday Mart is back for its 47th year, opening this weekend at Gates Field House on the University of Denver campus with the Junior League of Denver once again at the helm. The three-day event runs Friday through Sunday, bringing local and national merchants together under one roof for holiday shopping just as the season kicks into gear.
According to CBS News, the 47th annual Mile High Holiday Mart opened for the weekend thanks to the Junior League of Denver, with the event described as offering unique holiday gifts for everyone. A listing from Villager Publishing places the Mart at Gates Field House on the University of Denver campus, running Friday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 8.
Hours for the weekend, per that same listing, run from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. A separate listing from Do303, however, gives Sunday hours as 1 to 4 p.m., so shoppers planning a Sunday visit may want to confirm the closing time directly with organizers before heading out.
A Boutique Shopping Draw With a Charitable Mission
Do303 describes the Mart as a boutique shopping experience meant to give back to the Denver metro community while supporting local businesses, and confirms the event is presented by the Junior League of Denver. The listing adds that funds raised help the League empower women to become civic leaders and community volunteers, while also furthering its work to disrupt the cycle of systemic poverty affecting women and families in Denver.
A VIP private shopping event was also scheduled for Friday morning, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with $40 tickets offering early access, parking, winter beverages and breakfast bites, Villager Publishing reported. The Junior League’s own account on X announced the Mart was in full swing over the weekend, telling followers, “Our Mile High Holiday Mart is in full swing! We are open until 5 pm today. Come on down and do some shopping with local Colorado merchants to support the community!”
Venue Details Vary Across Listings
Exactly where shoppers should park and enter has been described differently across sources. Do303 lists the venue address as 2201 E. Asbury Ave., while a separate listing from the Denver Area Panhellenic gives the address as Gates Field House, 1945 S York St. Both describe the same Gates Field House venue on the DU campus, so attendees unsure of the exact entrance may want to double-check before arriving.
A Decades-Long Fundraising Tradition
The Mart has a long history in Denver’s holiday calendar. Last year’s 46th annual event ran Nov. 14 through 16, 2025, also at Gates Field House, according to CBS News Colorado, which reported that it featured 125 merchants, including 103 local Colorado vendors and 105 women-owned businesses. The station also noted that all proceeds from the market go toward furthering the mission of the Junior League of Metro Denver.
The year before that, the 45th annual Mart took place Nov. 15 through 17, 2024, also at Gates Field House, according to Colorado Politics. That listing described a venue filled mostly with local vendors selling food, clothing, jewelry and other holiday gifts, with general admission priced at $10 and free entry for veterans and University of Denver ID holders. Colorado Politics also reported that since its start in 1980, the Mile High Holiday Mart has raised $6.1 million for the Junior League of Denver and its various programs and initiatives.
A listing from the Denver Area Panhellenic describes the Mart more broadly as a three-day event that brings together 6,000 to 8,000 shoppers and more than 100 merchants, though it does not specify which year those figures reflect. Whatever this year’s final tally turns out to be, the event’s nearly half-century run suggests the Junior League of Denver’s holiday tradition isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
