Barrel and Bliss, the wine bar that promised fine vintages, craft cocktails and a members-only club inside El Dorado Hills Town Center, has closed. The closure was reported Thursday, with no details yet available on an exact closing date or the reason behind it.
The news comes from the Sacramento Business Journal, which published a Thursday story headlined “Barrel and Bliss wine bar closes in El Dorado Hills Town Center.” The outlet has tracked the business since its earliest days in the shopping center, back when it was still just a plan on paper.
That plan took shape in the former Sassy Sapphire Boutique space, where the same publication first described the newcomer as “a luxury wine bar” moving into the Town Center. A later item from the same source said the bar was scheduled to open June 13, though that detail came from a scheduling listing rather than a confirmed opening-day report.
What Barrel and Bliss Offered
Once open, Barrel and Bliss positioned itself as more than a place to grab a glass. According to its listing with El Dorado Hills Town Center, the business brought together “a passion for fine wine, craft cocktails, and curated experiences in the heart of El Dorado Hills.”
The wine bar operated out of 4359 Town Center Blvd., Suite 110, per its own website, Barrel and Bliss. It also ran a membership program pitched at $60 a month, which the bar's site said included two curated bottles, a 10% discount on every visit and 20% off additional bottle purchases.

The circumstances of the bar’s eventual closure and any future plans for the retail space remain unclear.
