The Franklin Division of Police is seeking the public’s help locating a missing 17-year-old boy, WDTN reported.
WDTN identified the teen as Ian Back and reported that police shared photos of him.
Information for the Public
Beyond the photos and the teen's name, the station's report notes that investigators have withheld key identifying details, including his last known location and outfit. That absence of information means residents are being asked to rely primarily on the released photos to help spot him.
Anyone with information about Back’s whereabouts is asked to call the Franklin Division of Police at 937-746-2882, WDTN reported.
Ohio Missing-Child Reports
According to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, 15,367 children were reported missing in Ohio in 2025, and 97.8% were returned home safely. The figures describe statewide reports and safe returns; they provide context but do not predict the outcome of Back’s case.
