Part of a Wider Pattern of Bronx Robberies
Part of a Wider Pattern of Bronx Robberies This isn't the only recent case of its kind in the borough. News 12 Bronx has reported on a separate string of armed robberies in 2024 involving suspects who approached victims, displayed a firearm, demanded money and fled in a four-door white sedan. That pattern reportedly began June 1 on Jerome Avenue, where two men were targeted, and continued June 17 at a gas station on West 230th Street, where a 48-year-old man was confronted.
A third incident in that same reported pattern occurred July 28 at Jerome Avenue and East 233rd Street, where a 28-year-old was allegedly threatened and had his jewelry stolen, according to News 12 Bronx. Detectives told the outlet that five people were victimized across four robberies tied to that pattern, with more than $800 in cash and valuables stolen and no injuries reported. It is not established whether the October 24 robbery near Bailey Avenue is connected to those earlier incidents.
The NYPD has not released information on whether anyone has been arrested or identified in connection with the October 24 robbery. Anyone with information is urged to use the tip channels listed above.
