A child-injury case has been reported in Harris County.
A disturbance response was reported on November 1.
Vasquez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail following the investigation, the post states. She was charged with two counts of injury to a child in the 183rd District Court.
Constable Pledges Accountability
Constable Mark Herman said violence against children will not be tolerated, adding that his deputies remain committed to protecting vulnerable citizens and holding those responsible accountable. As with all pending cases, Vasquez is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
A Similar Case in the Same Precinct
This is not the first injury-to-a-child case to come out of Constable Herman's precinct in recent months. In August, deputies arrested Oscar Vasquez after a reported disturbance on Spring Shadows Drive in the Harvest Bend area of northwest Harris County, according to click2houston.com. Investigators in that case determined Vasquez had allegedly injured a juvenile during the original disturbance, and he was ultimately booked into the Harris County Jail on outstanding warrants and charged with injury to a child, with bond set at $30,000.
Under Texas law, injury to a child is codified under Penal Code Section 22.04.
