Harrison Ford is adding another trophy to a crowded shelf. The Paley Center for Media announced that the actor will be honored alongside Goldie Hawn, Melissa McCarthy and Greg Berlanti at its Paley Honors Fall Gala, set for Dec. 3 in Beverly Hills.
All four will receive what the organization calls its highest accolade, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Paley Honors Award recognizes landmark contributions to and enduring impact on the media industry, the paper reports, and the gala will feature a special tribute celebrating each honoree's distinguished career and creative legacy. Per the Paley Center for Media, the award is the organization's highest honor.
The event itself has a specific address: Variety reports the gala will be held on Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Ford's Pivot From Blasters to Dutton Ranch
Ford remains best known for his roles in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, but the Times notes he has shifted considerable focus toward television in recent years, including his turns in “1923” and “Shrinking.” He joined the “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923” as Jacob Dutton, the family patriarch, back in 2022. On “Shrinking,” he plays therapist Dr. Paul Rhoades.
That “Shrinking” role has paid off in a new way: Ford became a first-time Emmy nominee for his performance in the show's second season, the Los Angeles Times reports. It's a fresh milestone for an actor who received the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award earlier in 2026 — his first award from the guild, as the Los Angeles Times reported at the time of his acceptance speech, which drew a standing ovation.
Hawn, McCarthy and Berlanti Round Out the Honorees
Goldie Hawn broke out on “Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In” before winning the supporting actress Oscar for her feature film debut in 1969's “Cactus Flower.” She later starred in 1980's “Private Benjamin,” a role that earned her an Academy Award nomination for lead actress.
Melissa McCarthy, known for playing Sookie in “Gilmore Girls,” has picked up two Emmys — one for lead actress in a comedy for her role on the CBS sitcom “Mike & Molly” and another for guest actress in a comedy for hosting “Saturday Night Live” in 2017. She has also received two Oscar nominations, for “Bridesmaids” and “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”
Greg Berlanti's credits span “Dawson's Creek,” “Everwood,” “Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and “You,” as well as DC Comics adaptations including the Arrowverse shows, “Titans” and “Doom Patrol.”
How This Year Compares
Last year's Paley Honors recipients included country music star and actress Reba McEntire, TV executive producer Bill Lawrence, and then-Mattel chairman and chief executive Ynon Kreiz, now co-chief executive of Skydance, according to Variety's coverage of this year's announcement. This year's four-person slate continues the gala's pattern of mixing marquee on-screen talent with industry builders.
