Houston is starting Sunday under fog and mist, with temperatures around 72 degrees and visibility reduced in spots. The fog should lift by midmorning, giving way to partly sunny skies and a high near 82 degrees.
Fog Fades, But Monday Morning May Be Murky
A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for parts of Southeast Texas until 10 a.m. Sunday, with drivers urged to slow down, use headlights, and leave extra space. The National Weather Service expects another round of patchy fog early Monday before partly sunny skies develop, with temperatures again reaching about 82 degrees.
Monday will turn breezier as southeast winds run 5 to 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph possible. The overnight low should stay mild near 72 degrees, keeping the region warm and humid ahead of the next weather change.
Tuesday Storms Could Bring Heavy Rain
Showers and thunderstorms are expected Tuesday, with a 90% chance of rain and a high near 79 degrees before temperatures fall during the afternoon. A few storms could produce strong wind gusts, while slow-moving downpours may bring localized street flooding.
Rain chances continue into Tuesday night before the sky gradually clears and temperatures drop to around 61 degrees. Anyone commuting or traveling during the storm window should avoid flooded roads and give thunderstorms plenty of room.
Cooler, Sunnier Weather Takes Over Wednesday
Wednesday looks like the payoff: sunny skies and a high near 73 degrees, followed by a mostly clear night with a low around 58. Thursday and Friday should remain mostly sunny in the mid-70s, with only slight shower chances, while Saturday stays mostly sunny with a high near 74.
