Ilana Glazer is coming back to Philadelphia. The Broad City co-creator is scheduled to perform at the Miller Theater next Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m., bringing her standup back to the Broad Street venue for the first time since 2023.
The show is set for the Miller Theater at 250 S. Broad St., according to epgn.com, which first reported the date and time. Glazer is perhaps still best known for co-creating and co-starring in the acclaimed series Broad City, a credit highlighted by the venue itself, Ensemble Arts Philly, in its own listing for the appearance.
A Growing Standup Resume
Since Broad City wrapped, Glazer has kept building out her comedy credits. Her second special, Human Magic, debuted on Hulu, and she co-wrote and starred in Babes, which premiered at SXSW in 2024 — both milestones noted in the Ensemble Arts Philly listing for the Miller Theater show.
Glazer told the publication that standup has become a bigger part of her creative life in recent years. “I've just been doing more and more standup in the past five years,” she said, per the outlet's report. She also weighed in on how the comedy landscape has shifted for performers like her, observing that “queer performers have pivoted into more independent models and making specials themselves and have gravitated towards YouTube,” according to the same account.
Philly Interview Touches on Parenthood and Broad City
In an interview tied to the upcoming show, Glazer reportedly chatted about navigating parenthood, being spiritually 39, and revisiting Broad City, according to a PHL17 report by Abby Urban published in the station's Positively Philly section. The same interview noted that Glazer is preparing a new comedy special she says will come out next year.
Her Last Trip to the Miller Theater
Glazer's return next Wednesday follows a previous stop at the same venue, when she performed Ilana Glazer Live! at the Miller Theater on Nov. 2, 2023, at 8 p.m. That earlier show was presented by the Kimmel Cultural Campus in association with Live Nation, per the venue's press materials.
