Dog owners across the Pacific Northwest know the drill once the rain sets in: muddy paws, soggy parks, and pups cooped up indoors with pent-up energy. In downtown Everett, a new business is betting there's an appetite for a dry alternative. Pawsome Park & Lodge has opened at 2820 Rucker Avenue, offering an indoor dog park, daycare, boarding and a social club all under one roof.
According to FOX 13 Seattle, the facility is designed as a community hub for both dogs and their owners, pairing off-leash play space with a human-friendly cafe next door. The business lists its address as 2820 Rucker Avenue, Everett, WA 98201, per its own website, pawsomepark.dog.
The timeline of exactly when Pawsome opened its doors is murky. FOX 13's report describes a soft opening in September followed by a grand opening on October 11, while an Everett Post event listing confirms a grand-opening celebration at the Rucker Avenue address that same Sunday, October 11, from 1 to 5 p.m. But that's not the only version of the story floating around: an Everett Post article dated December 19, 2024, reported that Pawsome Park & Lodge had opened in mid-December of that year with just daycare and boarding services, and a separate Everett Post piece from September 18, 2026, stated that Pawsome Lodge and Park had been open for about two years by that point. The available reporting doesn't clarify whether those accounts describe different phases of the business or simply conflicting timelines.
Membership Requirements and Mixed Pricing
Whatever the exact opening date, the business has moved quickly to build a membership base. FOX 13's report states that Pawsome enrolled 115 members in its first 45 days, with that number crossing 250 shortly after — though no specific dates were given for either milestone.
Getting in requires some paperwork. The station reported that every dog must hold an active Pawsome membership, citing an $89 annual fee, while Pawsome's own park page advertises a $79 annual Pay-As-You-Go membership that brings each visit down to $42. Pawsome's website separately states that every dog entering its play areas must be vaccinated, behavior-assessed, and a member in good standing.
Turf, Drains and a Cafe for Humans
Inside, FOX 13 reported that the play areas feature custom turf laid over an integrated trench drain system, with trained staff actively monitoring the floor during play. Doggy daycare and overnight boarding are both available now, according to Pawsome's website.
For the two-legged crowd, Barkside Cafe sits alongside the dog park as a human-friendly restaurant and bar, and FOX 13 reported it's open to both Pawsome members and the general public. As for exactly how big the whole operation is, that's another detail in flux: Pawsome's own website headline describes a 6,000-square-foot indoor park, while its FAQ page puts the space at approximately 6,500 square feet.
For Everett dog owners tired of slogging through puddles every time the forecast turns wet, Pawsome Park & Lodge offers a straightforward pitch — park, play, daycare and a coffee run, all without stepping outside.
