What the court and license information means
Mississippi Justice Courts generally have jurisdiction over misdemeanor criminal cases and traffic offenses outside municipalities, according to the State of Mississippi Judiciary. Separately, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Driver Service Bureau says a first-offense DUI conviction results in a 120-day Class R license suspension unless a court orders an ignition-interlock-restricted license.
