The Chick-fil-A at 3600 South RM 620 in Bee Cave has resumed counter and drive-through service after renovations kept the Lake Travis-area restaurant closed for more than two months. Its drive-through now has canopies over both lanes.

Community Impact reported that the work included updated seating, new flooring and kitchen updates, as well as the expanded drive-through setup. The outlet said the restaurant had been closed since August and reopened October 22, 2026.

A listing on workstream.us had also said the location was closed for a remodel and expected to reopen October 22; the listing alone did not confirm when it actually reopened. The Bee Cave restaurant, part of the Chick-fil-A chain found at www.chick-fil-a.com, is now serving customers again.

Traffic pressure on RM 620

The added drive-through capacity comes amid broader traffic pressure on the corridor. TxDOT says Travis County’s rapid growth has increased demand on RM 620, which the agency describes as already congested. That information does not specify traffic levels near the restaurant or quantify how they have changed in recent years. See TxDOT’s RM 620 feasibility study.

A Location With a History of Makeovers

This is not the first time the Lake Travis Chick-fil-A has gone under the knife. A previous overhaul featured larger dining room tables and a newly designed centerline kitchen with increased capacity, according to Community Impact.

The location also went through a pandemic-era disruption, closing its dine-in area in March 2020 because of COVID-19. It wasn't until March 2022 that the restaurant reopened its dining area and playground for customers, as reported by Community Impact.

Renovation Costs Remain Unclear

A 2024 report from Whatnow described a Bee Cave Chick-fil-A renovation project estimated to cost $2.2 million and span from October to January, though it is not established whether that project is the same work tied to this year's reopening. The scope, exact start date and total cost of the renovation that just wrapped up were not detailed beyond what Community Impact reported about the closure lasting over two months.

For now, Lake Travis-area regulars have their nuggets and waffle fries back, with a refreshed dining room and a drive-through built to move more cars under its new canopies.
