A new 7 Brew Coffee stand is set to open next week in the front parking lot of Macomb Mall in Roseville, marking the drive-thru chain's third Macomb County location to debut in 2026 and its second in the city. The grand opening comes with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned for Nov. 10 at 32037 Gratiot Avenue at Masonic Boulevard, and the new stand is expected to employ 75 people.
According to Macomb Daily, the opening event will draw Macomb County Chamber ambassadors, elected leaders, and store officials. The stand will sit roughly 1.5 miles south of the first area 7 Brew location, which opened on Gratiot Avenue in Roseville earlier this year. Per store officials cited in that report, the new location will serve more than 20,000 unique drink combinations, including The Blondie — a caramel and vanilla breve — along with energy smoothies, shakes, and teas.
A Rapid Rollout Across Macomb County
The Macomb Mall stand is the latest in a quick succession of openings for the Springdale, Arkansas-based chain. 7 Brew has also opened a shop in Clinton Township and, per a company news release, has a stand under construction at 12 Mile and Mound roads in Warren. The Macomb Mall stand—not the Warren location—will be the brand's third Macomb County shop opening this year and its second in Roseville.
Company website figures cited by the outlet put 7 Brew at 20 locations across Michigan and more than 900 nationwide. The chain's Michigan footprint has been expanding well beyond the Detroit suburbs; an MLive report on a planned Bay County location noted that new 7 Brew sites generally open within a few months of their initial announcement, with the chain also citing Midland and Grand Blanc among its other mid-Michigan outposts.
Traffic Headaches Haunt the Chain's First Roseville Shop
The rapid expansion follows a bumpy few months for 7 Brew's original Roseville location on Gratiot Avenue just north of 12 Mile Road, which the Macomb Daily reported became an instant hit after opening this past summer. That popularity came with a cost: nearby Mo-Tech Auto Care experienced traffic and access problems.
Nearby businesses and residents have also raised concerns, with complaints reported by WXYZ that traffic spills onto Gratiot and blocks access to neighboring properties. One nearby business owner told the station that drive-thru lines can stretch more than a mile during promotions. Roseville City Manager Ryan Monroe acknowledged that Gratiot has seen backups tied to other popular commercial businesses before, saying the city “will work with them to resolve the situation.”
Those traffic concerns are tied specifically to the existing Gratiot Avenue shop near 12 Mile Road, and it remains to be seen how the new Macomb Mall stand — just over a mile away — will handle customer demand once it opens next week. For now, the focus in Roseville is on the ribbon-cutting and the dozens of new jobs arriving alongside the chain's growing Michigan footprint, which also includes a Clinton Township location that opened on Utica Road in late September.
