A man was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound near Superior Road and Coventry Road, according to radio traffic that prompted a police response to the area. Officers arrived at the scene near the intersection, but the man's condition and further details remained unconfirmed as of the latest update.
The incident was first reported in a post titled “Man Reported Shot Near Superior and Coventry,” published Friday evening by the The Cleveland, Ohio Remembrance Page on Facebook. The post states that police were dispatched after radio traffic indicated a man was down in the street with a gunshot wound near the intersection, and that a police unit arrived at the scene shortly after. Beyond that, the post notes the man's condition and additional details were unconfirmed at the time of publication.
A Separate Report Surfaces Elsewhere in the Area
A separate page on citizen.com describes a man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The page gives the location as 8500 Superior Ave. It separately lists a “Two-Car Crash” at E 105th St and Superior Ave at 5:16 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026. That listing is for a crash, not the shooting. It is not clear from the available information whether this report and the one describing the Superior and Coventry incident refer to the same event.
According to the Citizen page, the man was shot somewhere else before being brought to the location where he was found. The page also states that EMS confirmed a bullet remained lodged in the left side of his abdomen. No primary police or government statement has been provided to independently confirm the shooting or the details of the response at either location.
What Remains Unknown
Key facts about both reports are still unverified. The man's identity, his condition, and what ultimately happened to him have not been confirmed by either source. The discrepancies in the reported address for the Citizen incident, and whether that incident is connected to the one near Superior and Coventry, also remain unresolved. Hoodline will update this story if additional confirmed details become available.
