Martha’s Dandee Creme is planning an expansion at its Queensbury stand for the business’s 80th anniversary in 2027. The work is expected to be ready next year, according to cnynews.com. Martha’s says its story began in 1947, according to the business website.
The plans for the stand at 1133 US-9 include a gift shop, another heated pavilion and additional picnic tables with umbrellas, according to cnynews.com and NEWS10. NEWS10 reports that the pavilion is being built on the other side of the building and that the gift shop is planned to carry Martha’s-branded products and Lake George-themed items.
NEWS10 reported that the groundbreaking was announced on Halloween and that the stand closed for the 2026 season on October 12. The reports do not provide a project cost or a more detailed construction schedule.
A wider tourism economy
The project comes in a county where tourism is a substantial part of the economy, though countywide figures do not indicate how much business Martha’s receives from visitors. Warren County reported that visitor spending reached $956.6 million in 2025, a 3.1 percent increase over the previous year, and that tourism supported 8,695 jobs, or 23.5 percent of county employment.
Lodging was the county’s largest visitor spending category at $481.6 million in 2025, according to Warren County. Those figures describe the broader visitor economy, not the stand’s sales or the reasons for its expansion.
