Napoli Pizza & Restaurant is planning to open its fourth Las Vegas Valley location in the Arts District, setting up shop at 1001 S 1st St, Suite 190, inside the historic Mission Linen Building. Co-owner Vahan Balian says the goal is to have the new spot running by this winter.
According to a City of Las Vegas permit cited by WhatNow, the family-owned pizzeria is planning to expand into the Arts District address. Balian confirmed the move and told the outlet the plan is to open the new location in the Arts District by this winter. Napoli currently operates three locations across the Las Vegas Valley, at West Sahara and Decatur, West Lake Mead and Jones, and Blue Diamond and Rainbow.
A New Home Inside a Downtown Landmark
The new Napoli outpost would land inside a building with its own history. Dapper Companies redeveloped the Mission Linen Building into a mixed-use retail and restaurant destination anchored by the Evel Knievel Museum, per the same WhatNow report. Back in May 2024, the project was still in its early stages, with Dapper Companies just beginning construction on the site, according to KNPR. At that point, the redevelopment was expected to include a museum, a coffee shop and a pizza restaurant, though KNPR reported that a timeline for the building's opening hadn't been announced.
Napoli's roots in the Valley run deep, even if the exact starting point depends on who's telling it. WhatNow reports that founder Hakob Alaverdyan started Napoli Pizzeria in Las Vegas in 2005, while a separate feature from KTNV describes the family-owned business as serving Las Vegas since 2006. Either way, the restaurant notes it has operated as a local Las Vegas eatery for more than two decades.
Big Pizzas, Bigger Menu
Napoli has built its reputation in part on scale. The restaurant introduced 30-inch and 36-inch hand-tossed New York-style pizzas to the Las Vegas area, with the 36-inch pie described in the WhatNow report as the largest pizza in the city. The restaurant says it donates $5 from every 36-inch pizza sold to support underserved communities across the Valley.
Beyond the oversized pies, the menu stretches into Mexican-style chorizo pizza, pasta, wings, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads and Italian desserts. The restaurant also makes gluten-free dough in-house, and it says it remains committed to fresh ingredients, recipes and quality service.
Not the Only Newcomer Eyeing the Arts District
Napoli isn't the only food business with its sights set on the neighborhood. Greek Gyro, established in 2023 with a Las Vegas location near South Rainbow Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road and another in Boston, is planning its own Arts District spot in the Arts District Parking Garage sometime in April 2027, according to 8 News Now. Owners agreed during a Las Vegas City Council meeting to move ahead with a lease agreement with city staff, and the planned location is described as a twelve-table, open-dining concept with mural work featuring an electronic component. It's a markedly different timeline than Napoli's, which is aiming for this winter rather than a 2027 build-out.
