A sprawling new medical clinic has opened its doors in Towne Lake, giving Cypress-area families another option for everyday health care close to home. The two-story, 33,000-square-foot Kelsey-Seybold Clinic now offers primary care for both adults and children, along with on-site imaging and laboratory services, all under one roof.
The clinic celebrated its arrival with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 29, according to Community Impact. The facility sits at 9831 Towne Lake Parkway in Cypress.
Designed to accommodate up to 20 providers, the clinic offers adult primary care as well as pediatric services, with same-day and next-day appointments available either in person or virtually, per the clinic's own listing on Kelsey-Seybold's website. The listing also notes the clinic welcomes new patients and accepts most major health insurance plans.
A Managing Physician Weighs In
Shawn Davis, the clinic's managing physician, said in a Kelsey-Seybold news release that the new location is meant to expand access to care for the surrounding community. He said the clinic would help “expand access to high-quality, value-based care for families across the greater Cypress area.”
Kelsey-Seybold itself is no small operation. Founded in 1949, the organization now has 46 locations spread across the Greater Houston area, per the same account. The Towne Lake clinic adds to that growing footprint as Cypress continues to see new residential and commercial development.
From Groundbreaking to Grand Opening
The Towne Lake project was first announced in December 2025, when Kelsey-Seybold said it planned to build a two-story clinic in the area, according to the organization's own newsroom announcement. That early description outlined primary care for adults and children, OB/GYN services, on-site imaging and lab work, and room for up to 20 providers — largely matching what the finished clinic now offers. A separate pre-opening report from myneighborhoodnews.com similarly described the planned facility as a 33,000-square-foot, two-story building at the same Towne Lake Parkway address.
The Towne Lake opening follows an earlier expansion effort at Kelsey-Seybold's Cypress Clinic. In 2023, the organization announced plans to add a 120,000-square-foot building to that location, developing the expanded site into what it called the Northwest Campus, according to Kelsey-Seybold's newsroom archive. That announcement said the Northwest Campus was expected to open in fall 2024 and, once all construction was complete, would have space for up to 40 providers — roughly double the provider capacity planned for the new Towne Lake facility.
